KIFF’s hallmark outreach program will be held in September 2011 and run by international and local filmmakers.
Students in the program will:
  • participate in a week long intensive workshop focusing on the craft of storytelling and team building.
  • receive training on digital film equipment and theory, provided by our sponsors
  • will remain in contact with their mentors over several months, while they develop and shoot their projects.
  • will be invited to participate in a week long editing workshop prior to next year’s KIFF festival.
Each year, KIFF will select 6 schools to participate in this innovative approach to building student voices. For 2011, the outreach program is planned to start in September 2011.
